How did you hear about/find us?

Flyer/FB.  Was so excited when I saw the flyer!

What is your musical background/history?

Played trumpet and baritone in high school, 7th-12th grade.

What is your favorite “Band Song” to play?

Our director in high school loved Steve Winwood. I remember playing Higher Love and Roll With It. My favorite songs to play now are anything easy in 4/4 time!

What do you do when you are not playing music? (work/hobbies/for fun???)

I work for United Ability, formerly UCP of Greater Birmingham.  I am a skills training instructor for a program at UAB Hospital, called Project Search, where we train young adults with disabilities from Birmingham City Schools.  If you know of anyone interested in possibly hiring some of our folks, please let me know! They are training in receiving/distribution, housekeeping, food service, clerical, supply/stocking, etc.  I went to UAB and majored in Social Work. I like to cook, swim, karaoke, dance, thrift shop for fun. I also spend a little time with my husband, Phil. We have an 18 year old son named Alex. He goes to Jefferson State and works at The Essential on Morris Ave.  I'm also the guardian for my aunt Cathy Pearl, who lives at St. Martin's in the Pines.

What type of animal/breed of dog/cat/bird/fish/other etc…. best reflects your personality and why?

Any kind of dog because I get really excited at meal time.

What is your superpower?

I waited tables at Jim N' Nick's for years at the old Lakeview location.  I would say slinging pork was a superpower. The main reason Phil wanted to date me was because I always smelled like BBQ.

Tell us something fun!  You know, like “That one time at band camp…” Or elsewhere.  (funny anecdote/story/amazing coincidence/hidden talent/celebrity encounter, etc…)

Our high school band went to Sprayberry competition in Georgia every year.  I remember how fun those trips were...we always went to Six Flags the next day. Also had my first kiss on the band bus. Good times...
