How did you hear about/find us?

I was walking up the hallway in UAB and spotted a flyer and immediately found the page on Facebook.

What is your musical background/history?

I’ve been playing the Alto saxophone since the 4th grade. I lied about my age for almost 4 years to get into different honor bands and it worked. No one ever checked, the other band members always had to watch what they said as not to reveal my true age. I played all throughout high school where I picked up the bari sax and played that for a few concerts. I became drum major in 9th grade (shock to everyone beating out current DM and 2 other seniors. Total of 6 in all) and was the youngest in school history also holding the title for the next 4 years. I then went on to March with the Million Dollar Band for 4 years. My senior year was the 1st national championship of the streak in Pasadena.

What is your favorite "band song" to play/conduct?

I love to play just about anything, but in high school we played a halftime show with El Gato and Malagueña. I was obsessed.

What do you do when you are not playing music?

I love to travel and drink. A good road trip, or flying to a different country it doesn’t make a difference to me. You name it, I’ll go. As for the drinking, I love to try new places and taste test everything. Oh and Concerts, I looove a good concert. I’ve been to hundreds of all types. My music style is more alternative/light metal (if that’s a thing).

What type of animal/breed of dog/cat/bird/fish/other etc…. best reflects your personality and why?

Lamas, I love everything about them. They are odd looking and run funky, I feel like that speaks to me.

What is your superpower?

I’m a cat whisperer, I love them and they love me. Even traveling to different countries I’ll always find a cat to love. They just show up when I’m around.

Tell us something fun! You know, like "That one time at band camp..." Or elsewhere. (funny anecdote/story/amazing coincidence/hidden talent/celebrity encounter, etc...)?

I have way too many band camp stories for one post. Something everyone may not know about me is I’ve been married 3 times to the same man within a two year span. We are legally married in two countries. The U.S. and Lebanon.
